Preliminary Agenda Items
Below are the preliminary agenda items for the 67th General Service Conference committees as of November 8, 2016. During the February 2017 meetings of the trustees’ committees, additional items received by the December 15th deadline may be assigned to appropriate Conference committees. Please keep in mind that this is a preliminary list and agenda items may be added or subject to change by the trustees’ committees at the February board weekend.
I. Agenda
 Review suggestions for the theme of the 2018 General Service Conference.
 Review presentation/discussion topic ideas for the 2018 General Service Conference.
 Review workshop topic ideas for the 2018 General Service Conference.
 Review the General Service Conference Evaluation Form and 2016 Evaluation Summary.
II. Archives
 Consider a proposal for a new publication, Unity in Action: Bill W.’s General Service Conference Talks, 1951-1970 (working title).
 Review the Archives Workbook.
III. Cooperation With the Professional Community
 Consider addition of footnote to the pamphlet “Problems Other Than Alcohol” (P-35).
 Consider retiring the pamphlet “Three Talks to Medical Societies by Bill W.” (P-6).
 Consider development of a LinkedIn page for C.P.C. committees.
 Review contents of C.P.C. Kit and Workbook.
IV. Corrections
 Review contents of Corrections Kit and Workbook.

 Review Audio Strategy status update.
 Consider list of suggested Grapevine book topics for 2018 or later.

 Discuss ways to encourage interest in Regional Forums and attract first-time
attendees.

 Consider request for revisions to the pamphlet “Questions and Answers on
Sponsorship” (P-15).
 Consider development of a pamphlet and media reflecting the recovery experiences
of Deaf A.A. members.
 Consider retiring the pamphlet “Too Young?” (P-37).
 Review plan for the annual review of A.A. recovery literature.
 Review draft language for inclusion in the pamphlet “Young People and A.A.” (P-4)
informing members about young people’s conferences.
IX. Policy/Admissions
 Review the final report from the trustees’ Committee on the General Service
Conference.
 Review dates for the 2020 General Service Conference.
X. Public Information
 Review 2016 annual report from the trustees’ Public Information Committee
regarding aa.org and aagrapevine.org.
 Public Information Comprehensive Media Plan:
1. Review the trustees’ Public Information Committee report on the Public
Information Comprehensive Media Plan.
2. Review 2017 Public Information Comprehensive Media Plan.
 Consider draft revisions to the pamphlet “Speaking at Non-A.A. Meetings” (P-40)
that add website information and better identify the source of membership
information.
 Review 2016 report from the trustees’ Public Information Committee on the
Usefulness and Relevance of Public Service Announcements.
 Review contents of P.I. Kit and Workbook.
XI. Report and Charter
 The A.A. Service Manual, 2018-2020 Edition:
1. Review list of editorial updates.
2. Review a request to add a footnote to Concept VIII to accurately reflect the
current ownership of the service corporations.
 Discuss A.A. Directories (Canada, Eastern U.S., Western U.S., and International).
 Discuss General Service Conference Final Report.
XII. Treatment and Accessibilities
 Review the revised draft pamphlet “A.A. for the Alcoholic with Special Needs” (P-
83).
 Review contents of Treatment Committee Kit and Workbook.
